Some observations:

  • Escalators on the north and south sides go all the way up to the upper concourse. No escalators to the upper and lower premium levels.
  • There are 18 elevators in total
  • 4 clubs in total, same as last design.1 event level "Founders Club", 2 clubs on lower premium level, and 1 "Legends Club" on the upper premium level.
  • The AHL/WHL fitness space is more than double the size of the WHL fitness space in the previous design. NHL fitness space is the same size it was in the previous design. New NLL fitness space added that wasn't present in previous design.
  • Loading Dock has space to store unloaded trailers, which previous design did not.
  • Larger green room, and performer dressing rooms are now adjacent to the green room
  • The main concourse is 25% narrower than the previous designs average width, but 40% wider then the pervious designs narrowest point (no apparent pinch point this time around).
  • The upper concourse is the same width as the one in the previous design.
  • 20 concessions in the main concourse. 4 grab and go's, 2 sponsor bars, 2 burgers and brew, 2 Pocket Dawgs, 2 malt & mini donuts, 1 full service bar, 1 Tandoor, 1 Korean corn dogs, 1 Lucky Cat Vietnamese subs, 1 pizza, 1 dumplings & buns, 1 bowls & salads, and 1 Angry Chicken. One spot where there looks to be a concession in the food hall was left unmarked, so there may be 21 concessions total.
  • 16 concessions in the upper concourse. 3 grab and go's, 3 burgers and brew, 3 full service bars, 2 fried chicken, 1 Pocket Dawg, 1 open bar, 1 Korean corn dogs, 1 malt & mini donuts, and 1 sponsor bar.
  • There are 3 restaurants. The north restaurant is a wood fire grill and holds 122 people. The small restaurant on the west side is a cocktail lounge which holds 100 people. The Large Restaurant on the SW corner is named "Gathering Place" and holds 255 people on 2 indoor levels and 1 rooftop patio + 92 people in the ground level patio.

They really should have named it the Scotia Fireplace. So much of the design involves the fire theme.

I'll vote Fireplace over Cauldron. Maybe if the flames had more of medieval thing going I'd go Cauldron, their older farm teams use to lean into that. Between the stone treatment around the base/podium and the name Scotia Place, fireplace is just too obvious not to use.

Between Scotia Fireplace and the BMO Centre fireplace, we'll have two of the largest artificial fireplaces in the world!

They were smart to go with "Scotia" instead of "Scotiabank"....it will catch on much easier. People will inevitably call it Scotia anyway...no different than people who call it "Rogers" in edmonton. Nobody up there refers to it as Rexall or Skyreach or the Coliseum, eventually people just get used to it

Someone on here had posted plans from the Saddledome that I downloaded. The PDF shows 0mb so I think it had an expiry date that came and went. Does someone still have these? maybe DM me a link if this is still a thing?
