At most, they should have painted the brick. Covering it up is horrible. The vertical lines of the brick was the most visually interesting part of the building.

Covering the brick has been the plan all along as indicated by the rendering.

As for the cladding installed so far, no it doesn't match the rendering.

Yeah, this whole fad of vinyl/composite siding isn't going to age well. It's inexpensive compared to brick or stucco, but.... It's too bad they couldn't have kept the previous façade, even though it looked like an office building it looked better, but that would have meant no balconies.
