I've heard rumours of something happening on the Fishman's site, another ASI project I think.

That would be great also...then maybe ASI can take over the lot to the east and develop it also.

Someone had big plans for the redevelopment of that site many years ago, can't remember who but I bet they still own it based on the lack of action and ASI not buying it.

The whole thing's a tin can. Even the faux wood.

Overall I think the fifth turned out okay, but there's something about the materials on the first two stories that just feels cheap. I'm afraid this building might not age super well. I really wish developers would put more effort into at least making their podium materials high quality

I'd prefer regular warm white lighting, but any lighting is a good addition.

If they are LEDs, I assume they can easily have their colour changed? And, is there any reason they wouldn't be?

Oh lol I figured the fact they are purple in the photo would indicate that they are colour-changing. They’re just very sloppy looking and poorly oriented so only the first 1.5 floors are illuminated and nothing else.

Its a really nice way to highlight and showcase the oil-canning on the metal paneling and the flashing being wavy.

The lighting could be better, but I like that there is at least some uplighting. Hopefully the colors are selectable.

Yeah I’m pretty sure the lighting switches between purple, blue, green, yellow, and possibly red.

Whatever. 17 Ave hangs perilously between "suburban commercial drag" (as witness the gas station and strip mall across the street), and "urban party district". The garish lighting of this building pushes the intersection firmly into the latter category.

That lighting isn't bad, though it could definitely have been more thoughtful!
