When you say ‘why so much parking?’ Do you mean why such a large relaxation? Sorry I’m confused.

Renderings are what you expect from a private student residence. I don't have high hopes for this one either. I really can't hold it against residents for appealing the decision. Even I'm concerned over it's presence and I don't live there. It looms very tall and, at most, it will be plain. Why so much parking?

That actually turned out pretty good. York University had some input since it's on their campus. It's not the same here. I do have more hope for this.

If I remember the rough numbers, it is something like 300ish units and a bit of retail, but only 35 or so parking stalls in total.

Hm... Must have won at appeal board. Permit status is now "Pending Release", meaning they could get their partial foundation/excavation permit:

Given theres probably no large excavation for a parkade on this one as well as a very simple/basic design, I wouldn't be surprised to see this one go up real quick once all the carpenters get on site.

Oh wow that is awesome, was just there a couple days ago. Very excited if that's the case. That makes 3 high rises plus MacKimmie (as viewed from my bedroom window) and Rhapsody going up within a kilometre of my house currently. Hopefully the Uni District Alt Hotel will be added soon as well
