I've heard that (renovation/makeovers needed) from a few people, but it has been pretty busy here for much of the summer and Main Street was very busy today walking back.

There are more people wanting to move here now than during boom years and a lot of people relocating I am told from the top realtor in Canmore at coffee last week. Things are selling over list and most with 2-3 backup buyers.
YYC yuppies “relocating” as a Primary residence? As opposed to their casual weekend home?

I have been long thinking since COVID struck that mountain town real estate is going to go nuts.

If you can suddenly make your big city wage but don't need to live in a big city, why not go live somewhere more scenic? Places like Canmore, Fernie, Valemount, Golden, Invermere, etc

The market is heated to say the least.

Another day, another set of clouds, another conversion from car dealership to tourist row housing.
