Good to see that they are "moving" the road over south of 23rd ave to accommodate construction for next season. We have seen that they always use/waste the "1st year" of construction as a time to move the roads.

There's a separate project that passed council last week to replace the U2sAlso they want to order the minimum 25 new vehicles. There are 37 old U2s that will be 50 years old by the time the new rolling stock gets way past their best before date. So there won’t be enough to replace https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edmonton_Light_Rail_Transit

If some extra money is found the LRVs/maintenance facility size will be prioritized. The way the mayor was talking during council made it seem like this wasn't an unlikely possibility.Yes, but downsized.
That's so far down the track it's not worthwhile worrying about. I'm sure the NLRT funding would now include money to expand the OMF to it's intended size. Ditto for sufficient LRV's.It's unfortunate that there isn't enough money for adding sufficient capacity via new LRVs and a bigger OMF. This will have downstream effects on the Metro Line expansion, because Phase 2 of that project won't include another OMF. Shorter trains or frequency cuts would be the result in the interim.
