indeed... I've never been inside there, but I know the scenario. I do enjoy my stay in hotels much more when they are fresh and have a modern style. When you say new ownership are you saying its a different hotel chain?

I work in the industry. I've heard that it is being re-flagged as a Holiday Inn. This would also make sense owning to the fact that the "flagship" Holiday Inn-on-King was converted to the Hyatt Regency not long ago. While I am not 100% on this, the rumour is we will be seeing the HI sunburst on Carlton Street before too long.
