Sometimes you just need a little room to work ....

I think I have figured out what the poles and frames are all about. CASE put in the permanent foundation work, but now Walsh needs some temporary work space ... so they build their own.

Adjusting it ... one end would be lifted slightly and a small crane would tug or push it a bit.

Taking shape

Patching the home-made double beam that has obviously seen use before.

We don't need WD-40 !
The cross members are also re-purposed beams
note how they are welded to the double beams that sit on the capstans on the pounded round pipes.

Finally satisfied with the positioning - welding it to the capstan.

Follow the yellow plank road ....

Word is that this is not extra work space, but an additional road (technically a bridge) for use during construction.

I'm pretty sure there is a strain gauge under this, and a matching one on the other side. The pressure from the clay beyond the sheet piles must be immense.

The gravel fill from the hole - protects the rebar that is sticking up out of the piling. The top of the rebar will be at or near the top of the foundation mat.

The pink loops are the rebar sticking out of the piling.
