Have a say in the Coliseum Station Area Redevelopment Plan
June 1, 2017
The City of Edmonton invites individuals to help create a new Area Redevelopment Plan (ARP) for the Coliseum Station area. The ARP will establish a new long-term vision that will guide the future evolution of this important site.
Two open houses will be held on June 12, 2017:
Location: City Hall, City Room, 1 Sir Winston Churchill Square
Time:10 a.m. - 2 p.m. (presentations at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.)
Location: Bellevue Community League, 7308 – 112 Avenue
Time: 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. (presentations at 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.)
Individuals can also provide input online from June 1 to 30, 2017. The input gathered at this stage will be used to identify key themes and principles that will help guide the formation of redevelopment scenarios.
The City is also seeking up to 15 individuals to join a volunteer community stakeholder group that will provide advice and share insights about the development and potential implementation of this exciting, city-building project. Applications for the stakeholder group close at 4:30 p.m. on July 4, 2017, and can be found at edmonton.ca/ColiseumPlan.
The plan will build upon transit oriented development plans in the area and will integrate and coordinate with ongoing work in the area, including plans to repurpose the existing arena (formerly Rexall Place), the Coliseum LRT Station improvements, and local revitalization initiatives.
