Could someone explain the term "Brokers Protected"

I often see this term used in real estate ads and am curious as to its meaning.

It means that if you buy with a realtor, the developer will pay them a commission for "referring" you.

I often see this term used in real estate ads and am curious as to its meaning.

-- its a nice way of the owner/developer/ (whoever posted the sign) of telling realtors, "We're not signing a listing but we will pay you a commission if you bring us an offer".
This leaves the owner/developer open to offers from any agent, not tied to one.
