Ran along the railpath yesterday and the "tree protecting fencing" is being put up along large sections of the trail.

This section remains the biggest question mark to me. Is this going to be a tunnel or a bridge? The change in grade would have to be quite stark to reach clearance over the trains.
And if they do pursue the connection to Sorauren Park (which I would love to see for very selfish reasons) it could be co-ordinated (integrated?) with the planned Wabash community centre.
A bridge here could be special!

I think I heard talk of building the bridge to Sorauren as part of the Wabash project, but I think it's unlikely that it will fit in the budget envelope. Hopefully funding can be found to add it, because it's an essential connection.

The picture is "outdated." The Lansdowne underpass was upgraded to cycle tracks with low-concrete walls in 2021.

These pictures show the preparations for adding a fourth track to the Georgetown GO corridor. It is not directly part of the railpath extension.

The railpath and the fourth track are pretty much linked.
There is construction on the south side of Dundas that looks even further along.
