Great pictures. Unfortunately they show a site which suggests the boring machine is not active. That is a nice soil sitting facility though. On previous projects they just found a place to dump the whole thing but this looks like something that would put the soil back into other construction projects.

I drive by the site often, great infrastructure but little movement of material.. TBM updates would be appreciated. Let us know what the problem is. Hopefully the unscheduled maintenance south of Brimorton will fix. Big inconvenience to the neighbourhood that now has to deal with a second set of headwalls and an unscheduled major excavation. Please keep us informed!

Metrolinx, via a twitter reply said that there will be a TBM tracker in the new year. Unfortunately, which new year is unknown.
Ah yes, here we go it's time for another delay game with the TBM tracker. They'll have to go take their website contractors to court, and then work on the hundreds of deficiencies that will inevitability pop up, then to some testing and discover more deficiencies to address, then throw a press conference to announce nothing, etc.

It's all a part of the Metrolinx grand opening experience.

Just north of Highway 401 could be ... a kilometre of tunnel? At this rate, the tunnel will be done by .... counts on fingers ... 2030?
10 to 15 metres a day should mean that a tunnel of 7.8km would be completed in around 2 years - at an optimistic 1km of tunnel dug since January, they've dug at a rate of 2.5m a day.

The complete lack of openness or transparency is incredibly frustrating.

The tunnel isn’t the hard part. It’s the stations, tracks, and other infrastructure. The tunnels under Eglinton were complete by 2018.

Yes, that's the point I'm trying to make - the tunnel should be the easy part, but at this rate they are building - they'll still be building the Scarborough Subway in 2050! bit of an exaggeration
