"Transit is dictated by politics. Politics is the reason why Vaughan will have a subway to Sorbara's riding, Politics is the reason why Sheppard got its subway, etc...
It won't stop today. The Ontario liberal WILL NOT build an LRT even if Council votes LRT. There's a reason why Murray took the ball and ran with it with his own subway plan without the help of the city or the Feds. It's politics. They have liberal ridings in Scarborough and there's no way they will risk losing them over council's indecisiveness. They will save those seats no matter what. Even until today, you have both the transport minister and Premier supporting subways in Scarborough.
The true question should be
A)City Plan
B)Province Plan
The province won't go back to LRT"
