Halton has a tendency to make their display pieces operational.

This happened with the Gloucester car.

That may prove a little more difficult with the SRT cars - unless HCRR intends to construct a LIM propulsion roadbed. But certainly they could be powered up and made occupiable. Or towed somehow (Large Witts certainly pulled trailers LOL).

Never say never.

Since they wouldn't run anymore, there shouldn't be as much of a need to harvest every spare part, no?
Better to have the parts and not need them, than to need them and not have them.

Especially when it comes to cosmetic parts. PCC 4000 is kept under lock and key because they're afraid a vandal would steal parts from it there was free access given to it.

perhaps Halton may also be able to obtain some bits and pieces from Vancouver’s Mark Is as they are retired, rather than rely solely on what the TTC was able to part with?

Another intervention headwall to be constructed, about 1km south of the 401. Hopefully the TBM can reach it on its own.

The question now becomes, who hired the better lawyers.

This is where the myth of having negotiated a "fixed price, contractor takes all the risk" contract breaks down.

Not Metrolinx. Their record in the courts isn't great.

Sometimes I think they sue for the press without any intention of coming out ahead.

Sounds more like "contractor charges extra for all the risk they are supposedly taking, and then may or may not actually pay to address that risk".

I figured as much 5 months ago! They should hire me on as a consultant, I expect to work 4 hours/week and receive a full time salary.
Referencing a Toronto soil map, I noticed that the investigation is being performed near the border of two distinct soil deposits.
I know little about the topic of soil engineering but there's a non-zero chance this plays a role in whatever complication is being investigated.
