I visited Detroit few months ago, real estate is very affordable and there are a lot of homeless dogs in the city which is kinda scary. Most people are nice by the way.

I'm assuming the clock works, but what day of the week is it?

Orr dedicated about $520 million to blight removal over the next five years. The funding would ramp up demolitions from 114 a week to between 400 and 450.

I think that works out to demolishing 117,000 buildings over the next five years.

That's progress in Detroit. All the blight discourages people from the suburbs from spending money in the city. Suburban Detroit has enough capital to revitalize much of the city, but it doesn't happen. In fact, the suburbs keep expanding outward. If you want to go to a shopping mall like Yorkdale in Detroit, you have to travel 35-50 kilometres from downtown to the suburbs. The only transit is local bus routes.
