This is the current state that downtown Yonge Street is in today. It is rather glum and lifeless! This walk goes from The Esplanade to Dundas Square.

I was downtown for the 1st time in a month on Tuesday; I saw extensive paving and sidewalk works ongoing on Yonge between Gerrard and Dundas.
I was rather flummoxed by this.
This section of road is slated for total reconstruction in as little as 2 years.
Doesn't seem like the wisest use of funds.
My company has had corporate dinners there several times, as well as Christmas parties, and while I normally turn my nose up at corporate chains like this, I must admit that the food was quite good.JOEY Restaurants is opening its largest location ever in Toronto
