It wasn't quality from what I've heard recently, sounds like care and maintenance went downhill.Really frustrated about losing the Churchill and a quality seniors residence.

This is in my office building, going to be spending too much money on omakase lolTwo Michelin Star Chef Masaki Saito is opening his third location and first outside of the GTA in Edmonton Tower. Looks close to being completed. Top 100 restaurant in Canada and #1 Japanese 2020.
It is probably better for vibrancy of the area to have a younger crowd. Yes, it was convenient for seniors being so close to the nearby mall, but not as much there now as when the seniors residence was first developed, so maybe not a huge loss.It wasn't quality from what I've heard recently, sounds like care and maintenance went downhill.
Wild Rose Cakes is now open (soft opening). Looks great!
Retailers that are needed in the downtown core:
- laundromat
- shoe shining
- hardware store (e.g. Home Hardware, Crappy Tire)
- late night fast food (e.g. A&W, Rotten Ronnies)
- record store (e.g. Sunrise, Revolver)
- comic shop (just have Rolling Tales)
- gaming store
- sports cards/collectibles
- Simons
- antique store
I don't think this news is getting the attention it deserves. It's a pretty big deal when a highly revered and respected two Michelin star chef, with only two restaurants (both of which are in Toronto), decides to take a chance in Edmonton of all places. I take this as a really positive sign and wish them the absolute best success. Despite the high prices, I am eager to try this at some point. Two Michelin Star Chef Masaki Saito is opening his third location and first outside of the GTA in Edmonton Tower.
