I passed a mobile hydraulic crane driving in from the south portal. I think it might be for removing the temporary construction bridge frame

I guess it makes sense to remove the temporary bridge before installing the south side ramp given the crane had to fit through. Having said that, this means the bridge will be off limits once work on the south side ramp begins. Hope that doesn't take too long.

May need @TwinHuey to do the next aerial shot in either mid or late October to see how that's coming along before riding up that way again.

@enter username got me curious.

Looks like a cyclist on the bridge in this shot.

We’re hoping to ride the trail tomorrow, but it’s almost 20 km for us to get to this bridge (we come in from the north). I’m trying to figure out if it’s still blocked off — I’d rather not have to turn around and ride all the way back.

I flew the drone over this morning (staging from Northline Drive).

From what I can see, it looks passable?

Here's a photo from the south side of that bridge Tom E shared on Strava today. It does make for a bit of a challenge, but still accessible.

It looked exactly like that LAST weekend and it is certainly accessible. Based on what was seen then, I suspect they may have made more progress on the ramp on this side and this is an old photo. Updated photos will be appreciated.

No photos but can confirm that it’s still a couple planks of wood as of Oct 18. Going up was easier than coming down.

There is a hole in the ground next to the bridge, which I assume is for the ramp footing. So it will be a few weeks at least for concrete to be poured in and for the ramp to be put on top.

That hole (I agree it's for the ramp foundations) was there more than a week ago, if it's still only a hole they are not working too hard!

Your photos are (mainly) of the north side of the bridge (which has been complete except for a small amount of paving for a month or so). The problem/unfinished area is the south ramp of the bridge plus paving from the bridge south to The Forks.
There was a crew hanging out there on the south side. I didn’t want to take any pictures of them. They weren’t paving yet but I can’t figure out what else is left to do.
