Yup, Globe and Mail has run about 15 articles now on how hard-done-by Calgary's downtown is, and the heroic efforts of the City and others to revitalize the space, the "momentum" building, etc. Where is the attention to Edmonton's downtown? Edmonton needs, if anything, a larger focus and greater attention than Calgary. The downtown is not suitable for a capital city.

The trend is based on the end of third quarter. While there were many announcements of a return to the office in late summer, many downtown tenants have since pushed out their returns due to the fourth wave. Downtown office occupancy has been hovering since summer and more noticeable returns are expected by Spring 2022. However, as we have seen, not easy to forecast at the moment.

Neat. Curious as to why they chose Edmonton over Calgary though?
