To a point. There are principals of design that people can agree on, but rules are also meant to be broken. My concerns are more around urban design than architecture, where skinnier towers allow more light through and around the building in surrounding area, separation between buildings, and more opportunity for natural light in the units. Encore vs. this for example. But there's also a balance between energy efficiency and design in our northern climate, I suspect Langham buildings are cheaper to operate than Westrich for example.
 
@Clearshades you started this and you want to keep batting it around? Why don't you just stop while you are so far behind (if you are in a hole, stop digging). You are looking dumber with every post.

I'm ok with the Terrace Building after they redid the exterior and siding, it looks much better, but I wish they would do something about that surface parking lot in front of it that looks right out of the 1950's.

Surely the Alberta Government has heard of underground parkades, as I think they already have a few in the area.
