Canadian North does a lot of chartered flights to various oil sands sites.I didn't know Canadian North flew to Firebag.
For Cenovus they do……..think Suncor uses WJI didn't know Canadian North flew to Firebag.
They also do the flights to the Kitimat LNG site.Canadian North does a lot of chartered flights to various oil sands sites.
Reminds me of the days of Suncor flying 30,000 people a month... god those boom days were something different
Very discouraging. I’m going to ask tomorrow at the public general meeting what gives.Snapshot of Q1 2024 stats for Canada's busiest airports

Don’t know that is the reason the domestic passenger numbers that are down the trans border and international are up quite a bit. It doesn’t make sense to drive down the highway for a flight you can get from here.Anecdotal but many people are driving to Calgary for various WestJet flights. There's a lot of market leakage happening. Yeg needs to attract some unique flights to draw people.
I suspect this could be an issue for many people how much impact it had on passenger numbers though is in questionTbh with how **** it was getting dropped off/picked up at the end of the parkade during the winter in Q1, I get why some might have just opted to go to Calgary lol
