Not currently & AA hasn’t flown the Edmonton YEG- Dallas DFW since early 2015 when it got “cut” due to not enough demand✅.

If AA was going to add YEG to DFW again at some point, they’ll probably start route (seasonally & see how it plays out) & increase it depending on demand✅.
They’re fairly conservative like WestJet when starting up a new route it seems & 2 good examples: AA Calgary YYC - Charlotte CLT was 1x weekly in S24 on Saturdays & they increased it to 4x weekly in S25 & AA recently loaded a new 1x weekly YYC- New York LaGuardia LGA route operating on Saturdays for this upcoming Summer season.

A prominent poster on SSP said to expect AA to DFW in “2025,” don’t have time to find the post but he mentioned it 6-8 months ago I believe

Yes & most of those (WS) WestJet domestic flight ✈️ increases for YEG is in S25.

YEG- Vancouver YVR up to 7-8x daily on weekdays & weekends 6x daily
YEG- Toronto YYZ 6x daily
YEG- Winnipeg YWG 4x daily
I'm a little boggled to see that there's four flights a day to Winnipeg.

Looks like Condor to Frankfurt might get cut

Yes looks like it. Condor Airlines schedule changes for Canada 🇨🇦 in S25.

That's too bad but hope this pushes KLM to up their service, even after their recent annoucement. Love seeing that plane landing and taking off from where I live.

The above article is MOU/Partnership (WS) WestJet and the former Alberta UCP premier & it continues still under the current UCP government✅.

No it’s not binding & *If* it was an Alberta NDP government , this MOU/Partnership with (WS) wouldn’t be around✅

Even without it, (WS) will build up its Calgary YYC Fortress Hub in Canada however they want or see fit✅.

That is an interesting deal.

I did wonder how much public subsidy was being put into this partnership. The link doesn't detail all the amounts, but just the public dollars on the table are $63 million over five years plus a per-passenger subsidy. Some of that is going to all airlines (fuel tax rebate and tourism marketing), but most is slanted towards WS. Even the per-passenger subsidy for connecting passengers at YYC and YEG looks fair on the surface, but AC hasn't done many connections through either city since the pandemic and Flair's model doesn't really use connections.

Some (many) will call it an investment, but for better or worse, Alberta certainly put its finger on the scale in favour of a home-grown airline at YYC.
