The low level bridge can be discarded for vehicle traffic, we really don't need that bridge. Demolish the '50s addition and make the original a pedestrian only bridge. An even better idea would be to keep the '50s section and build rowhouses and restaurants on it with a plaza in the middle for people to sit, eat lunch and enjoy the day.
