The essence of Edmonton -- a young, fast-growing City with loads of opportunity. It needs guidance. It has a storied past. It is positioned to achieve great things. It has its detractors (many on this very site).
I hope that it harkens to its "better angels".

This picture was obviously before some major additions to our skyline in the last decade, but I feel the essence remains true. There is a lot of potential and opportunity here and we also have a beautiful natural setting.

I feel sometimes in our haste to grow and embrace our future we forget our connections to that and our past, but overall its a great place.

Also, I love that Joni in addition having great musical talent also has found another way to express herself so well artistically through her painting.
