Honestly, I think that City Planning is really missing the point here. Like ok, maybe there is something that we don't know behind the scenes with this development, but if we have all the information, I don't see a reason why this one should be stopped.
Sounds like the rezoning passed with some amendments to increase the setbacks and to commit to phasing out commercial parking when both towers are complete (which hints they will be built in phases).

There’s always the concern about above ground parking but I’d love to see this development employ something similar to this if that’s the route they choose to go. It can look sharp in real life.
