It could be a bit of both in this case. The best time to do construction/expansion is when other construction is happening. They could have been doing very well and still had the 25% reduction in customers, and chose to expand now, knowing that the construction won't last forever.I am wrong often - but this time, it has worked out for the best

Yes, if you are doing well and have a 25% reduction it is not as bad as having a 25% reduction when you are not doing well and of course the construction is temporary. The full context matters.

I'm just imagining the LRT stop at that location and how potentially busy it could be. Makes me wonder about the rest of the area in proximity to this project and how much more the area could become a nice little hub.

I'm extremely optimistic about what we are going to see along the West Valley Line over the next 10 years. Now, if only something of this magnitude could happen at 124 St and 104 Ave...

Wonder when Aldritt will develop their lands on the NW corner of 125s / 104a. also, there's that proposal one block north ready for the starting gun.

Aldritt also owns the land SW corner SPR and 142s. What are they so busy with that they're just letting them sit? Hoping to flip?

Same with the lot on 111 St & 19 Ave where a 7-11 used to be. I know there's a massing rendering for that site and we were told that it was going to go ahead...but crickets since then.
They don't seem to want to do much with their land, aside from put out renderings.
