Great shot of King Street West, though I am uncertain that the first building is the Toronto Star. I very vaguely recall there being a bank building in a somewhat deco/moderne style. It was a French Canadian banque. It was another loss on a block of so many losses.

You're observation may be correct, jaborandi and the Toronto Public Library's notes mistaken.
 
It was the North American Life Building.
