From the National Post...
Hybrid aircraft: It's a bl---, but the U.K.-based company that is trying to develop (or redevelop) the airship industry using non-flammable helium, as well as a more traditional electric engine, doesn't want to use that word. One of the proposed routes would link Seattle with Vancouver, though more slowly than traditional air travel. That said, the Airlander 10's glass-bottom lounge does look super cool.

Before 'O Neg. starts believing (if he doesn't already) that the homelessness and accompanying crime problem is paramount in Edmonton and scarcely viewable anywhere else, this arrives this morning from Postmedia:
"Not so long ago, tent cities and homeless encampments were issues for Vancouver and Toronto. That's not the case any longer, as cities around the country grapple with the issue. Exclusive polling, done by Leger for Postmedia, shows that Canadians are fed up, reports the National Post's Tristin Hopper. Fifty-eight per cent of poll respondents believe homelessness is a problem in their community, and 38 per cent say it has "increased acts of violence in my community.” Even more dramatically, many believe governments are actively making the problem worse. Just seven per cent believe governments are improving the situation — 16 per cent say they're making it worse, even as governments spend hundreds of millions of dollars to fix the problem. "I think governments need to be cognizant of the fact that, at best, they’re not making a lot of progress on the homelessness issue," said Leger's Andrew Enns. On Wednesday, thousands gathered for the funeral of Const. Shaelyn Yang, who was killed in Burnaby, B.C., allegedly by a homeless man in a park. The tragedy, during routine duties, is a sign of the troubles cities are facing, reports Tyler Dawson."
