Sunday was a day of searches. If you had a bag or knapsack you were gonna get stopped.

What's so unusual about this pic? Well, it was taken from inside the security fence. After walking around the security zone for 4 days without anyone stopping me or asking for ID despite taking hundreds of photos, I was starting to feel left out. I thought I'd push my luck by asking one of the sentries if I could step inside the fence to take a photo and to my surprise she said yes.

Umbrellas for the delegates I'm assuming. There's about $300 more to add to the Summit bill.

Being inside the security fence meant CBC had exclusive coverage and Peter Mansbridge looks very happy about it

These "I am Canadian" banners appeared just before the G20 started. I guess the owners thought it might protect their property during the protests. I wonder if it worked.

3 PM Sunday afternoon, 1000 OPP officers are bussed in from up north.

The now famous manhole at Queen & James where some protesters made their escape. It has since been welded shut.
