This has to be one of the most interesting sites I've come across in a while. The title says it all. It is the comic strip Garfield, without Garfield, and is a way to explore the loneliness and depression of Jon Arbuckle. This site has managed to turn Garfield from a not very funny comic strip to a totally dark exploration of depression.

Also of interest is the fact that not only has the sites creator been allowed to continue with this, but there will also be a book where the originals will be shown next to the modified strips. Obviously copyright owners have the right to protect their work as they please but it is interesting to see what can happen when someone is allowed, and encouraged, to modify it as they see fit and create something new from it.

Yeah, that was the saddest bit of spam I've seen in ages.

Anyway, it's about time Garfield because less of a humourless comic and more of an existential nightmare for Jon. Good link.

For even more Garfield-related weirdness check out http://www.lasagnacat.com/ though it might be a bit bizarre for some tastes.

No problem. I don't know which one I like better, the Suicide is Painless one or the Chattahoochee one...
