Just a question. With the recent start to the new Cancer Centre and recently to hospital in Seton. What say does the city have in the designs and size of these buildings?
Good question. Someone mentioned a while back that large projects built by the province, like hospitals submit a DP, but more as a courtesy.

Scroll down for the Baines Bridge improvements. Biggest benefactor will be connecting Bridgeland and Inglewood via the zoo both ways, rather than just to the north right now. Bridge will have wider sidewalks for pedestrians and cyclists. Also, a path under the bridge is being built similar to others along the Bow River which will really cut back the pedestrian/cyclist/car conflicts at that location. I'm looking forward to that, as being in Mayland Heights, I will be able to travel directly to Inglewood via the zoo road, rather than going around via Blackfoot or Downtown.

This bike/pedestrian underpass is already done and open now. So much better for both vehicles and cyclists/peds now.

Century Gardens on 8th street/7&8th ave Sw has been fenced off. Construction vehicles inside. Looks like the Park rebuild has started

I have passed that like three times in the last couple of days and keep forgetting to take pics and/or mention it here! Thank you! This has been one of my most anticipated public realm projects for the last couple of years. I can't waaaaait until it's done!

Good news! I can't remember exactly what the plans looked like. Are they removing or keeping the concrete structure at the corner?

Not sure what is planned for the lot on the NW corner of 17ave and 5st SW. They put up concrete barriers and plywood hording around the site. Anyone know what is supposed to go there?

They are keeping and restoring much of the brutalist concrete structures. Here is the most up-to-date render of the Century Park Revitalization...
