Not sure what these University District projects are, but here you go.

There's construction fencing up and a drilling rig on site between the North Hill Co-op on 16th Ave and the Petro Can. Anyone know what project this would be?

It might be the first phase of the co-op redevelopment

I keep forgetting to post this. I didn’t realize the city was structurally reinforcing the tip of Elbow Island Park, noticed on my 13 km rollerblading deathmarch to the Glenmore Dam the other day ? I also think that they are dredging out the south channel to restore its flow, I’ll confirm that later today.

Follow up: not sure if they restored the flow of the south channel or if it is just flowing because of high water levels this time of year. However, they have dug out a considerable portion of the island park and have also stabilized significant sections of the riverbank on both sides. I’m looking forward to seeing what they’re doing. The amount of excavation they have done on the north central section would suggest they’re prepping for a plaza of some kind. I am concerned by how many trees they have taken out on the east end though.

I think you are giving it too much credit saying its stayed the same. This piece of shit has regressed since last winter. Maybe moved a couple of rocks. I don't know what will be finished first, this PARK, or the Green Line

Whenever it ends up being done, I'm just happy to see it more open. I think it'll be a popular public space once it's done. Not so much from all now concrete work, but because all those old conifers are gone and there is some openness to it.

I guess this is sort of construction related... anyways, anyone know why the Prince’s Island Lagoon has been drained for this year? I noticed it a week or two ago. They have clearly dug out a couple significant beaver boroughs. I’m guessing that’s why. Wondering if they are dredging it to restore the habitat a bit of what? All the beaver dams in the area around Prince’s Island have been destroyed this spring. Is this usual? I can’t recall.
