How do we keep allowing retail to face and frame a street and immediately allow them to orient the entrances to the parking lot behind? The view from 69 Street will be this:

Even if there is glazing, it'll be back-of-house so they will vinyl the windows so you can't see in. I just cannot understand how we have not addressed that no greenfield developments do anything close to street-oriented buildings.

Heard that equipment is onsite on the NE parcel of Deerfoot Meadows that has long been vacant. Ivanhoe Cambridge owns the property. Anybody have insight into what is going in? Through the years, the site has had various proposals for a "lifestyle center".

It will be a very large (largest in Western Canada I believe) Canadian Tire, and associated gas bar and one other pad retail site I think.

That site is big enough to accomidate several big box stores. I can't find any site plan online.
