The bridge doesn't look like it will be much wider than the one it is replacing. I thought that was a main goal of this project. Maybe it's just an illusion based off the photos?

It's going from 3.8m to 5.9m; the north bridge to the park is 3m, and the Peace bridge is 6.2m. I might have gone a little wider, but it's still a substantial improvement. It'll still be busy on Canada Day and Folk Fest, but the other 360 days (and the other 22 hours on those days) it'll be fine.

All of the arch segments have been on site for a week or two. These two cranes are there to install them.
