Looks like they’re about to start construction on the new EV washrooms.

Elizabeth Square update. This is shaping up to be a great addition to the community. Apparently an Italian restaurant and coffee shop is coming to the main level so RIP to my wallet.

Would love for LDG to snap up the empty corner lot in the second photo but I think their specialty is repurposing existing buildings.

Down the street, Marda Loop Brewing has to close their patio until late June to accommodate the main streets project. Understand it but that's a bummer...
My dream for that lot is the City (or some nice philanthropist) buys it and repurposes it as a plaza/park space. I thought with all the pizza places/coffee shops/breweries (the City allows public drinking in this park/plaza in my dream) it would be nice to have a gathering space, especially with the Loop within the Loop festival street right there.

Also in my dream scenario, they errect a Christmas tree in the plaza/park every winter and the neighbourhood hosts an annual Christmas market called “Miracle on 34th Ave”.

And because I was there already, one shot of Eau Claire. I'm still a bit bitter sweet about this...it clearly never worked as a mall, but there's some neat 90s nostalgia for me at this place.

Do we know when demolition begins? Would be nice to witness.

I noticed fencing went up on this empty lot this week.

SAM Centre by Stampede Park and a bonus horse statue picture because I know how much everyone here loves them 😄 Building seems nice and will probably see more activity once the new arena is built, provided the design doesn't turn its back to the eastern side. My one comment only is that it's disappointing they didn't do a better job with the landscaping to tie in the Rundle Ruins with the property. The connection seems like a complete after thought where as they could have created an obvious pathway from the southern courtyard to the ruins.
