MichaelS mentioned that the lot was purchased by Cidex. No DP has been submitted yet, so unfortunately it'll probably sit empty for a while.
Speaking of Cidex, coming in on the Blue Line from the West this morning I noticed their 14th Street tower is still largely empty. Wonder if the rental market downtown is slowing down.

Albeit with some more Cidex context... I recently moved out of their West Village tower because their renewal increase was ridiculous ($3,450 for two bed two stalls). I had a chat with their leasing manager and he was saying the 14th St tower was advertised at same / slightly higher rates than West Village. I think they asking for way too much.

Great for pedestrians, but I hadn't been in that area by car in quite a while until last week only to find that 17th has been turned into one way (west bound) between 1st & Macleod so you can't even drive east through there.

There's two lanes east across the tracks but the only traffic that can use that is a single lane turning right from northbound Macleod. Odd config.

That grey wall on the convention centre is really calling out for a digital display board. All those people going by on McLeod by train and car, stop lights that give drivers a direct view of your wall, people walking in from 17th....you'd think they want to use that space to advertise events/conventions or just generate some revenue.

Good lord, $3,450 for 2bed2bath and two stalls is dog shit. I would pay ~$2,650, all-in for that in that location. mildly low-balling.

The project at Douglasglen next to the brt and future lrt station appears to be fully under construction. The underground parking is u/c.

Also there’s construction fencing and a drilling rig in Quarry Park in the spot where the 4th tower was slated to go (next to Co-op).

DP updated with drawings by KN Architecture, phase 1 with 459 units in 3 buildings. Phase 2 is a shitty strip mall as expected

It's actually Douglasglen on 114th. Looks like the parking structure for the 3 residential towers is being built. Not sure about the second retail phase. At the pace this is going I can see it being complete years before the Greenline opens across the street.

It's hard to tell in my photo but they've dug a massive pit covering the area of all 3 towers. One already has foundations cast. I'm guessing they'll do all 3 at the same time. I'm not sure if they'll phase the towers after or go full bore on all 3?

That’s awesome. This was the one I was hoping for, sweet.

Cool. I didn't know the project had changed, originally it was going to be 12 low-rise buildings.
