I don't know if this has already been posted or not. Looks like the Calgary Farmer's Market is opening a NW location.

That project is called Jade Garden (14 units) No retail, but I like this was a nice little density win. Two houses on large lots were taken out and replaced with 14 units.

Great scale the perfect kind of intensity for the neighbourhood context. Shame it is a dog's breakfast when it comes to design/colour/material choices.

I like the small rowhome style developments. Much better density, while also allowing main floor access and a main floor garage, makes for a good way for people to live in a higher density environment but still feel a bit like an SFH. I agree about those colors lol.

This is an interesting DP:

Pretty small site for a hotel. If my memory serves me correctly, there were two previous townhome proposals for this lot, one of which was going to be built out of shipping containers. Maybe this hotel will finally fill this empty lot.

I can see the business case for a small boutique hotel in Bridgeland, along the lines of the Kensington Riverside Inn, now Hotel Arts Kensington. But this parcel is half the size of that development. Will be an interesting one to watch.

It's a small parcel, but they could go with a 3-4 storey building and have as many as 6 rooms per floor, depending on what type of hotel it would be. I stayed at a boutique hotel in Brooklyn that had 4 floors and iirc 4 rooms per floor. Not joking, the width of the building was about 25' at most, and probably had a depth of about 50'. No Elevator at that place, so that makes a difference, I suppose this would include an elevator.

I can to except not at this location. It would be better located on 1st Ave where all of the amenities are. The north side has lots of property that could be developed.

Didn't Gravity have a proposal on this lot a few years ago?

Edit:

Sorry. It was the site across the street.
