Likewise. It's just another mostly-oil sandwich.

Still, if they are willing to occupy a DT commercial space I would cheer them on.
I don't feel a pop up stand here is the way to go for this but a nearby DT commercial space could do quite well.

If a stand alone space is too much of a commitment right now, at least try something like this instead in the Stantec Lobby say next to Luigi's.

Sorry to nit pick, but the historic Hub Cigar building burned down some years ago. This very nice building was built there after and fits in nicely with the area, but historic is it not.

The Hub on Whyte is now open!

Bad optics anyone? Taste of Edmonton should have done some research and NOT have brought in an organization, whom - "financial mismanagement and governance breakdowns have put the member-owned organization at risk of collapse." Or am I picking on YYC?

Co-ops are independently operated co-operatives. It's in the name.

The North Central Co-op in Stony Plain has no bearing on the governing association of Co-ops in Calgary.

Wow, that’s a dumb thing to say
Why? Whether or not it has a “Stony Plain” or a “YYC” in front of the co-op? Does it matter at the end of the day? Read the article, Co-Op as a “whole” are not good people. You can go ahead and shop there, but grocery gangsters are not my cup of tea.

Can't find anything in the article that backs up your claim here. North Central Co-op is part of the Federated Co-operatives (FCL), whereas Calgary Co-op pretty much completely severed ties with FCL. The FCL website doesn't list any stores in Calgary on their website, and their stores are supplied by Pattison rather than FCL like ours are.

That’s comforting to know that a YYC restaurant chain who only served YYC micro brews in the YEG market is calling it quits. Geez that’s too bad, oddly enough another YYC based Brewsters is going to downsize by moving buildings? I would surmise their current building is larger than Beer Revolution’s. Back in the day, I GM’d the original restaurant builder of that building…
Come to think of it, I think that restaurant was on an episode of “You Gotta Eat here.” The host did High Level Diner, Chartier and that one
