For sure - and note the lack of any fencing. Even GO tries harder. As somebody mentioned in the article, a fast train in a heavily urbanized area.

It's crazy that they don't require 4 way barriers throughout, for a service that fast, in an area that dense.
 

This speaks how having regular passenger rail service throughout Canada would likely be easing the cost of living. Take fuel costs out of the picture and now if you do long trips it may be better to take a train. And, yes I know that they may raise ticket pricing due to higher cost of fuel, but it will not likely jump by that much. We are seeing what making the car king is doing to our wallets.
