I don't see why that would be any different than any of the other buildings in that area - including the Ontario Ministry's of Health and the Environment.
Actually, it is very apropos. Metrolinx announced today an upcoming weekend track closure for work at Aurora GO.Apropos of nothing - I happened to make a trip to Aurora on the Barrie line today, and was pleasantly surprised by the level of mobilisation and work being accomplished along this route, in particular the amount of effort and money going to prepare the line for double tracking.
I saw nothing that looked ready for implementaton, but in its usual hodge podge way, ML is clearly doing a lot of the serious preliminary work, ie grubbing, grading, drainage improvement, and utility/telco installation. Made me wonder if this route is the tortoise while the LSE/Ontario Line work is the more visible hare.
My only disappointment is the amount of solid sound wall installation… the Barrie line always had plenty of charming rural scenery, and it is being transformed into a ride that’s about as visually appealing as the Line 2 subway. I guess that’s a fair trade for a good 2WAD service.
Sure wish that the Kitchener line was showing this level of active expansion.

I was looking out the window on my (Milton line) train ride today and it seems like a lot is being done on the section that hosts the Kitchener line where it and Milton are side by side. So, at least something is being done. Milton has zero work underway.Apropos of nothing - I happened to make a trip to Aurora on the Barrie line today, and was pleasantly surprised by the level of mobilisation and work being accomplished along this route, in particular the amount of effort and money going to prepare the line for double tracking.

Oh I thought they were putting in a new track. Oops.Definitely some telecom and utility work going on in the Queen-Sudbury stretch, as well as earthmoving in the "Y" on the south side of Dundas. There was also some utility/sewer excavation started on the Barrie line around Bloor, possibly in anticipation of the new station construction. On the Kitchener line, Track 1 remains out of service from Parkdale north to Black Creek, in some places the track itself has been removed.

I drove through Acton today
I saw the same thing as you from Georgetown to Guelph in July. Looking at the south platform in Guelph still not in service is saying it was a waste to build it, but is a cost saving when it opens when every that is. Lack of parking for the station been an issues a few months after service started on the line and more so today with better service now. I guess Guelph will have to improve transit service before the 2 way al day service start with more service 7 days a week.I drove through Acton today, and noted absolutely zero signs of work to build the new siding there.
Honestly, ML.... it's not a complicated project. Has been on the books for several years now.....
There was also a rumour a couple months back that an announcement of an agreement with CN on Halton Sub improvements was "imminent"..... still waiting.

The Acton and Guelph sidings are absolutely essential to introduce counter-peak service on the Kitchener line. The lack of urgency at ML for this is quite disappointing. Anyone who travels the 401 west of Toronto knows how badly we need improved service on the Kitchener line.
This improved service has been promised many, many times by politicians of all stripes.... so where is the effort to deliver it?

So is the bridge in place? Or does the track start to duplicate just north of where that bridge will eventually sit?yup i was on the northbound train that departed kennedy at 540. was surprised to see that finally during the weekday theres simultaneous trains.
