Cab car 253 has been repainted, but not refurbished. Saw it in service last month and confirmed it after a friend had it yesterday.
This was a Dial-A-Bus trial service in the 70s. It’s funny, now it’s back in the form of On-Demand by various transit agencies.See 1:21. Did the GO Bus provide home pickup in the 1970s?
BTW, Jane Jacobs, the Patron Saint of gentrification shows up in that vid.
The ones that never see service? This was a Dial-A-Bus trial service in the 70s. It’s funny, now it’s back in the form of On-Demand by various transit agencies.
If anyone wants to see one of GO’s electric Enviro500ev double deckers, one is on display at this year’s CNE.
They seem to have been taken out of service and are instead used for PR. The other one was in the Pride Parade earlier this year. The ones that never see service?

That's what I keep saying about the Wright Brothers aircraft in the Washington D.C. museum! What is the point of displaying them if they don't work??
I thought it was a bit weird too. The public is going to naturally want to know when they can ride one. What is the point of displaying them if they don't work??![]()
Really? They can't spare one bus?I thought it was a bit weird too. The public is going to naturally want to know when they can ride one.
I mean they could also be so short of equipment to make service that taking a revenue bus out for the CNE display might be difficult.
I don’t know with certainty that’s the reason, but they are definitely low on buses.Really? They can't spare one bus?
Why would they bother using a revenue service bus, when these lemon e-buses are just sitting around doing nothing in the garage?Really? They can't spare one bus?
Some are repainted but not rebuilt. Hence why they are going to north Bay to be rebuilt. So I'm in Gravenhurst this weekend, and last night I had to wait for a freight train heading north. To my surprise it had two GO coaches tacked on to the end of it, in the newer limes and frogs livery (as opposed to the old wintergreen). That was surprising to me and they looked quite clean. One of them was either 2150 or 2105 (my memory sucks, I should have pulled over to make a note of it right away), I didn't catch the number on the other one.
