While we can’t rule out seeing one, we are now getting quite close to the WC so they are unlikely to have a major impact. It may simply have been that Metrolinx didn’t need them immediately but if they didn’t bid, it might be unlikely that they could snap up similar locos later. Between MP40 rebuild work and ETCS, there will be plenty of reasons why spare power could be useful in the next few years, even if only used for peak serviceI mean for extra GO train service?
We are taking them back?
wow...so theyre buying back their old garbage because somehow they cant source newer ones..... ML fail
Even Metra of Chicago still has F59PHIs in storage iircwow...so theyre buying back their old garbage because somehow they cant source newer ones..... ML fail
Foamers are going to love this, while advocates for GO electrification are going to hate this.
Don't be a hater! Embrace the foamer within.wow...so theyre buying back their old garbage because somehow they cant source newer ones..... ML fail
They do ... which is why when I've got a lot of crap with me, I sit downstairs. The upper levels of the double deckers have the same exact seating config. As do, for that matter, just about every type of coach bus in existence.
Even on double Deckers they should use the luggage bays or just order the transit versions like Ottawa with more seats. They do ... which is why when I've got a lot of crap with me, I sit downstairs.
Coach buses have terrible seating in general - and are absurdly high. It might make sense on inter-city routes with few stops, and people needing to put luggage underneath.
We shouldnt be buying new diesel trains. The focus should be 100% on electric. Buying used stuff in the interim is great.wow...so theyre buying back their old garbage because somehow they cant source newer ones..... ML fail
