I just don't understand the park feature, supposed to be on the west side of vanier? Never heard of a park project there. I think Brigil owns the land and no development will be autorized on that side of vanier till infrastructures follow. Highly doubt Brigil will build the park feature before anything else. From what I remember we can expect 5000 to 6000 units only on that land.

Should rectify the intersection. It's with vanier, but that, you already knew it.
Thanks for the new thread.
Thanks. I copy pasted the other one and edited, but forgot to change the intersection.

Isn't the whole west side protected land (Forêt Boucher)? Or is there some space right along the road?

I know that the buildings that exist currently on that west side of Vanier are either up for sale or abandoned, but I thought the city owned the rest.

No, only part of it is protected

The city does own a bit more than that, although I'm not sure what they intend to do with it in the long term.
There's a map of the ownership on the website:
Carte-des-proprios1024_1.jpg

All the privately owned parcels belong to Regional Group, except the curved one along Vanier, which belongs to Gilles Desjardins.
Of course, the Québec parcels belong to the MTQ, for their 550 highway...

Im wondering if something changed since the map is from 2014

Interesting.. I thought the Boucher Forest protected area was that entire plot bounded by Vanier, Allumettières, Antoine-Boucher and that Hydro ROW on the west side.

Gov of QC should just give up that dream of a highway through there now, that ain't going to happen anymore.

Interesting that Brigil (M. Desjardins) owns that parcel on the west side of Vanier (or does he still, according to BGO this is an old map)? He could put his 55 storey tower out here. ;)

Brigil also owns the land south of Allumettières where the old Bonhomme place was. They even have a sign up for 'opportunities' on the eastbound side right before Vanier.

The map is old yes, but it indicates Regional Group owns that land.
I verified the city's property tax records, and the parcels are all still owned by Regional Group except for that one, owned by Brigil.
