Hat off to driver for all the PA announcements, Horn blowing, blowing the old fashion whistle for the closing the doors.

Here are a few videos from the last run for the H5 series Subway cars on June 14.

To bad the train crap out at Eglinton W station since it only had 5 more stops to make before heading to the yard for the final time. We were forced to get off the train as it went out of service then after they regain power for the lead car 5788.

Caught a trip on the train as part of my commute. I thought Yorkdale was an appropriate setting for a shot (also the GO bus went there).

Sorry to bump an old topic.

The project to rebuild H5 cars for Lagos has been cancelled.
All cars have been scrapped.

If anyone is interested in a destination sign or number plate let me know.

That's unfortunate. Do you know why they scrapped their light rail project? And will TTC still receive payment for the 200+ cars?

They never scrapped the LRT project in Lagos. AFAIK Lagos has purchased brand new cars from a Chinese company.
TTC only sold 75 cars to Lagos EKO rail. They were stored in Buffalo at a warehouse up until a few months ago. It was discovered the cost to rebuild and ship the cars would surpass purchasing new cars.

A list of all the cars that were stored in Buffalo can be found here: http://cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php?title=Toronto_Transit_Commission_5670-5807

The destination signs were rolling signs, right? How would that work?

I'll take a number plate closest to 5796 or 5807. If there are plenty of desto roll signs, I can take one.
