There was discussion two years ago about creating a (filtered) freshwater public swimming facility in the Parliament Street Slip. Here is another precedent from Berlin to join Copenhagen and Hamburg. It is possible!

With Sugar Beach being much more popular than many predicted, they should move forward with the swimming facility too. It's things like that which make a city a great place to live, not just another place to live.

Foot of Parliament might be the greatest place for now, given the proximity to the mouth of Don River and the E. coli issue post-storms.
