whippet? that advert looks like a 50's-60's advert for a car, unless it's an optical illusion. if you interpret it as a front view, it's looks like something out of the 60's.

Interesting to see the great old Royal York Hotel just in its final stage of construction - as the '29 crash was about to happen.

sodapop, that's Old Union Station.

Which itself was Toronto's second Union Station, so even in its day there was an Old Union Station. Sadly neither exist today, particularly the second, which was a beautiful structure.
