New to Toronto and just got asked out - OK well, I asked him out. What's the difference. Anyways, I was thinking about going on the Toronto Ghost Walk. Will he see this as a ploy for him to hold my hand during the scary stories or am I hoping for too much?

The tour ends at College and Spadina. Can anyone suggest a quiet pub for a quick drink afterwards?

This thread brought to mind a classic Leslie Nielsen quote from Naked Gun: "We should have dinner sometime; I know this little out of the way place that serves great viking food."

Find a rooftop you have to climb up on, and take a few beers up there.

Trust me, that's a helluva lot more fun/adventurous than another boring "let's drink at a bar" or "let's eat at a restaurant" date.

And cheaper as well.

Agreed. I'm a big fan of simple walks.
  • A walk through High Park
  • Following one of Toronto's Discovery Trails
  • Exploring Edwards Gardens
  • Wandering Sunnybrook Park
  • Strolling Woodbine Beach
These are just a couple of free, "unconventional" things to do on a date. The added benefit is that it provides good exercise and a beautiful backdrop to some (hopefully) great conversation.

I would suggest probably going out to a nice place, like a nice walk in a park , or to any public city events:

Don Valley Brick Works : if you go there during the sunset, it looks really nice , here are some photos I took a about a month ago, of the sunset there :).
