Whether true or not Miller was painted as not giving a damn about people outside downtown and that narrative has shaped city politics since.

People were upset about the garbage strike and its outcome, but what can you do - no one usually wins with labour issues, and people don't want to believe that it's their lifestyle that generates all that stinking garbage.

Lest we forget, Miller did not run for re-election in 2010. Who was doing this "painting"?
