Confirmed with staff that they are aiming to open to the public in January.

Got the same statement from a gal representing the bakery at the city market opening today. Also she stated there is an Italian Bakery location slated to open in Windermere in 2024.

Funny thing is that a certain major developer in Edmonton made that claim about 10 yrs ago and that Currents was going to shift the food and retail epicentre to that location.

Currents is the perfect example of sprawling, car dependent, wasteful city building. Thankfully the traffic is a nightmare and everyone I know that lives their ironically constantly whines about the traffic on terwillegar. Maybe some will realize they’re a part of their own problem 
The money draw I’m sure is attractive for new stores though. I doubt many solid places would struggle in a spot there.
