Jason, since an elephant never forgets, I think you have enough material for a typical Hollywood film pitch (15 minutes max including words and visuals). It's a children's book for sure but maybe a live action meets animated feature.

An epic elephant journey to the Taj Mahal, Grand Canyon, Salt Lake City, Tokyo, Greenland, Paris,... and Washington DC.

This idea assumes an elephant (stuffed) can scratch it's head and wonder wtf.
